REACTIVE DOGS

Reactive dogs are those that display behaviors like barking and lunging often as a response to fear or frustration. These reactions can stem from various triggers in their environment. To help these dogs, special training is essential, focusing on building confidence, impulse control, trust, and behavior modification techniques. With the right approach, reactive dogs can learn to navigate their surroundings more calmly and confidently.

Why Happy Tails?

At Happy Tails Dog Training Center, we believe in nurturing a positive learning environment for dogs. Our approach focuses on compassion and understanding, steering clear of fear, force, pain, or intimidation. We prioritize gentle and positive reinforcement, ensuring that every dog learns  in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Together, foster trust and confidence, empowering dogs to thrive.

Our program for reactive dogs features three separate course tracks, all designed to provide a safe place to learn. BEFORE signing up for a class, owners are asked to complete and submit a questionnaire. This will allow us to make sure your dog is placed in the proper class right from the start.

Some dogs may be required to have an in-person assessment before being placed in a class. Dogs with bite histories to humans or dogs may not be suitable for classes.
